ABOUT THE FILM by Chris Lyon
This set of videos is very unique in that they aren't so much meant to tell a complete story arc, but each represents a lack of being able to see clearly what we are looking for/at. Each picture will show at the beginning of each sermon to illustrate the title of the series which is "Clear Vision." There are three videos in the series.
THE CREATION by Chris Lyon
This idea was a big collaboration (as many church videos are these days) between all the Scribes in the Scribes of the Round Table. This groups is a conglomerate of writing ability, lack thereof (represented coolly by Luke and I), and creative juices for sermon illustrations, like the Clear Vision series, as well as on-stage drama productions.
Each video was so different in the skill set we needed as well as equipment. Clear Vision 1 was simply a bunch of stuff strewed out on the desktop of
Bruce Hennigan while the camera tracked on top of these objects in a semi-sequential order following a man's identity in life through objects like a birth certificate, marriage license, a college degree, etc. Clear Vision 2 was actually the first video in the series to be shot. This one was done on location in Grand Cane, LA, about 30 minutes south of Shreveport on the property of a church member's. It was a beautiful location and may end up being one we use again as well as by some other filmmakers currently seeking such locations. Third is a kind of funny, but not picture. A man is watching TV in a dark secluded area, separating himself from the world and his signal goes out. Distraught, he tries to regain the signal.
